Konngara, The Astral Knight of Jigoku
I, Konngara, also sometimes called "The Astral Knight", Goddess of Jigoku's Silent Shrine and overall ruler of this world, will tell my bit of story.

For eternities, I have ruled over Jigoku, a world that is regarded as Gensokyo's Hell, where ghosts of the dead who have been judged guilty by Sikieiki's Tribunal are sent. Jigoku is, for one unprepared, a world of doom and destruction, and having guts is just not enough. You've got to pack some strength to survive in this world, and I incarnate the perfect power one should have to withstand Jigoku's depths.

My world is in constant duality with Makai, the world created by Shinki and protected by that damned archangel of death, Sariel. In a distant past, when Gensokyo was still a part of the Exterior world, we used to fight, to no avail. None of us could beat the other and that pissed me off for hundreds of years. Since the advent of Borders, Makai, Jigoku and the mainland of Gensokyo were separated and a portal installed to guard the entrance to the two worlds.

This stopped me from settling the score with Sariel, but allowed me to take care of my newly-defined world, Jigoku. For years of peace, I extended my powers and my influence and became rapidly, with no serious opponents, the ruler of this place.

One day, a shrine maiden came in Jigoku, and despite she wasn't looking this powerful at first, she managed to beat me in a fair, but long fight. This was the first time I, Konngara, was beaten, and with someone who wasn't a native from this world.

Since then, I started to believe in the existence of other people who have great potential like that shrine maiden's. As Shingyoku's importance seemed to have decreased, my curiosity increased, and I couldn't resist but to exit my world and see what the exterior looked like. Upon seeing that the gate that led to Makai was still as repulsive as ever, I went out, and discovered Gensokyo as of nowadays.

What first surprised me was this sensation of peace, and this disturbing sensation that despite I control an entire world linked to this one, I felt like I was one tiny creature among all of the others. But from this day, I have now new goals. I will meet new faces, I have the opportunity to meet people with as much, if not more potential than that shrine maiden had when we met, and, maybe I'll settle the score with that archangel once and for all.

This is a new beginning, my future and the future of Jigoku.
